Peggy D. - Veterinary Assistant

Peggy has been working in the veterinary field since 1987, and became the first full time employee of Forest Home Animal Clinic in 1990. Since her second son was born in 1994, she cut back to working part time, mostly on Saturdays and to fill in when needed.

At home she lives with her husband & 2 sons (one in college, one in High School), 2 German Shorthair Pointers (Sprecher & Dundee), 2 Leopard Geckos (Spots & Stripes), 1 Guinea Pig (Gus), 1 very old Gerbil (Jet), and occasionally her son’s bunny (Lola).

During the school year Peggy teaches 3 and 4 year old preschoolers. She enjoys their spunk, it keeps her young! She also enjoys reading and the outdoors, especially the wildlife in her backyard.

Chrystal H. - Veterinary Assistant

Chrystal shares her life with her husband and their two dogs, Brutus an English Bulldog and Max a Staffordshire Terrier. They have a full house with three cats, Bully, Ava and Kitty; two Gecko’s and one Bearded Dragon.

In her spare time, Crystal works on stained glass projects, having spent the past 6 years of her life working with it. She spends a lot of time camping and taking the dogs for walks, weather permitting. Chrystal has been part of the Forest Home Animal Clinic since 2003.

Kristin F. - Veterinary Assistant

Kristin

Kristin has three years experience in the veterinary field, primarily with an equine/large animal emphasis. Kristin joined the Forest Home Animal Clinic in April 2009 to expand her knowledge of small animal medicine with plans to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. She attended the University of Wisconsin- Madison and graduated with a B.S. in Animal Science and is also interested in pursuing a degree in Veterinary Medicine.

Kristin has 20 years experience training and showing horses nationwide. She lives on the family farm with 8 horses, 4 dogs (5 until a recent loss), 3 cats, and a rabbit. Her family also breeds and trains field Labrador Retrievers. When not busy with farm chores and her pets she finds time for outdoor activities with her boyfriend Steve, hunting with her father, traveling, volunteering at humane societies and feral cat programs, and cheering on Badger and Wisconsin sports.
