Does anyone know a good groomer?

YES, we do!
Forest Home Animal Clinic offers a full state-of-the-art grooming suite complete with:
stainless steel walk-up bathtub; lift grooming table; and drying cage.

Call 414-425-2340 to schedule your appointment with our professional groomer today!

Mitch before.

Pets of every size, breed, age and coat type need to be groomed regularly. Regular, professional grooming can help prevent problems including excessive shedding, skin and paw disorders and mats. A groomer can also catch other problems that may otherwise go unnoticed.

You can help by brushing your pet's coat once or twice a week (depending on the breed's coat). This will help prevent matting and other coat and skin problems. This makes the groomer's job easier and that means less charges for you!

After you check in with our reception staff your pet is brought back to the grooming suite. There your pet receives a nail trim followed by the removal of excess hair.

Next, a bath is given in our stainless steel bathtub, complete with shampoo and conditioner. Your pet is washed twice to ensure that all the dirt is completely removed from the coat.

After the bath, your pet is dried with a professional pet grooming hair dryer and then placed into our state-of-the-art drying cage for about 30 to 50 minutes, (depending on the coat thickness and length), to finish drying.

After the drying cage, it is time for the actual haircut.

If your pet's coat is matted it will require special attention. This is due to the extra time needed to brush out the mats or the extra clipper time needed to cut out the mats.

Please be aware, extra charges will be added on for severely matted pets.

Mitch is almost done.

Finally, our groomer puts the finishing touches on your pet. A full grooming can take anywhere between an hour and a half to two hours. It all depends on the pet's cooperation and condition of their coat (i.e. matting).

When you arrive back at Forest Home Animal Clinic to pick up your pet, he/she will not only be clean but will look great!

Pets who continually try to bite will be muzzled for the safety of your pet and our groomer.
